When I first met with Andrea and Matt about an engagement photo shoot, they mentioned that they’re super active and outdoorsy. They spend their weekends hiking, biking, kayaking, and exploring with their adorable dog, Baxter, and they suggested a few of their favorite local parks as potential shoot locations. I was excited because I’d never heard of any of these parks, but as soon as I started googling, I fell in love with the images I saw of Hacklebarney State Park. We agreed that it would be a great spot for their shoot – and in the name of exploration, I set out with my husband a few weekends before our scheduled shoot date to check out the park. GORGEOUS. Although I’ve lived on the east coast for almost 9 years, I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to the intensely green, dense, lush foliage around here. Hacklebarney State Park has it all – trees, fallen logs, bridges, waterfalls – it was the perfect location for their shoot. I had an amazing time shooting with Andrea, Matt, and Baxter – they’re such a fun, upbeat couple and have so much fun together. I’m so excited for them as they plan their wedding and honeymoon and start out on their next big adventure together! Congratulations Andrea and Matt!
